Community Relations
Revett employees live, work, and raise their families in the communities where we do business. Our projects provide ongoing employment and increased opportunities for job growth, along with significant tax revenues for the local county and state.
Our corporate philosophy embraces a commitment to finding opportunities where our capabilities might improve the quality of life in our communities. Our Community Outreach Committee of salaried and hourly employees meets regularly to help distribute contributions to local charities and lend our support and staff to community-based charity events – from school athletic events to county fair 4-H auctions, from cultural festivals to fundraisers. In addition, our employees have donated money and countless hours to their own favorite causes.
We participate in school activities to demonstrate the opportunities that might be available to students who are interested in the business of mining. We’re also involved in Provider Pals, a Preserve America Presidential Award-winning national urban/rural cultural exchange program. This program uses our Troy Mine as a field trip for students from around the country. Our employees are involved as volunteers, and Revett has been named Corporate Sponsor of the Year by the group.
